What a great episode! I'd been thinking about running this game and was looking for some gameplay, as I was a bit intimidated, being my first Forged in the Dark game. You guys made it look awesome. My favorite parts were the potato people and the outside of Henrietta "you guys can get out and walk". When it was over I thought "so soon?". Thank you for the video!
So glad you enjoyed! It was a fun game!
God, i loved when you said "maybe it's an exodus ship" because that was what I had been thinking. Perfect opportunity to include one of those
I think the Iron being used for receiving healing treatment (especially treating yourself) is to do with pain tolerance. Maybe your shoulder popped out of it's socket - it would take a lot of Iron to do it properly, and not hold back.
I had heard that the original wasn't so much about making a movie as it was just an excuse for the rat pack to hangout and drink. I still kind of want to see it though. I've only seen the Ocean's 11 remake and thought it was okay but never really had an interest in watching the sequels. But thanks for sharing an analysis of them.
I love Nolan trilogy. I missed a time where movie is self contained and not part of larger multiverse
We had it rough this session!
Hah I been struggling to be creativity in this chapter but it's been nice to listen and understand the stretch of this universe of the celestial and human differences and rebels. Just yeah. I felt its alot of ncps I feel in this one. Also the chase scene prep for a group of level 11 lol jeeze.
Lady of pain !!!
saw this in the podcatcher and decided to come and watch the stream to see what the game looks like.
Hope you enjoy!
I have been given a chance to take part in a D&D for beginners campaign. It is a bit intimidating but I am glad I'm giving it a chance, despite feeling awkward.
That’s great! I hope you enjoy!
😡 Promo*SM
I don’t know what this means.
John le Carré who wrote Tinker, Taylor actually worked for MI5 & MI6.
Well, then I guess he would know! That’s cool. :)
Did the last part of this adventure ever get uploaded, or was it lost to the technical glitches?
Part 2 is here. :) ruclips.net/video/lOsTlnnyVOk/видео.html
@@ChristianaEllis thanks for the response. Unfortunately the linked video precedes this one. Having run the adventure for the last 2 weeks I've covered all the material in your videos. The arguing princes, the scorpion attack, and the conversation with the high priest. Your stream seems to end just as they princes enter the mine. My group are just about to enter the mine in our game. I was interested to see how the encounters ran in your game.
@@wizarde7 My apologies, you are right. The video labeled as Session 10 part 2 of 2 should have been Session 9 Part 2 of 2. I've corrected that. Unfortunately, it looks ilke Session 10 Part 2 of 2 was lost to the glitches. However, I do have the audio of the session. This file includes the content from the Session 10 Part 1 of 2 video (all 11+ minutes of it) but then also contains the rest of the adventure in the Goldwarren. traffic.libsyn.com/onepoundatatime/RadiantCitadelEp10.mp3 Apologies again and thanks for watching! Hope it's helpful!
@@wizarde7 The video of Session 11, with the start of Trail of Destruction, is also missing, but I also have the audio of that one here: traffic.libsyn.com/onepoundatatime/RadiantCitadelEp11.mp3
@@ChristianaEllis thanks again for your reply. I had a listen before my session ran. I will be sure to check out the next adventure.

Dragon Brothers Rule!!
I came for the Frost Wardens but stayed for the Goblin Air Force. This was a blast!
The 5 stages of grief as a skill challenge is great
I recognized most of the messages on the wall. If it was in a modern setting, I would assume nukes
Gleeper VII
For being a magical construct, I feel so sorry for the auctioneer.
I enjoyed you gameplay. Great start.
I think that material removed via Prestidigitation is fed back into the Weave of Magic. When Magic creates material, that's where the matter comes from.
Sorry for not watching all of these live. I will try to do so when I can.
We're happy to have people watch however is easiest!
Definitely happy to have you watch them however you are able. Hope you enjoy!
Don't know if you read comments, but there are actually SIX films in the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan universe. I actually forgot about one myself until after I had listened to the podcast. They are: The Hunt for Red October, with Alec Baldwin Patriot Games, switched to Harrison Ford Clear and Present Danger, (love to hear your thoughts on the motorcade ambush sequence, and whether or not it holds up. I remember it being ripped off in a 'JAG' episode, and I feel like Call of Duty also did a version in one of their games) Then came: Sum of All Fears a reboot with Ben Affleck. And then another reboot that everyone forgets: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit with Chris Pine And then the recent side story: Without Remorse, with Michael B Jordan, he is essentially playing a younger version of the Willem Defoe character from Clear and Present Danger. And another note, turns out I can listen to long podcasts talking about only two movies, as I haven't missed one, although I did take a break to watch Parasite before listening to the podcast episode. Tom Robertson.
I do read comments, and you’ll be happy to know that we realized that we had missed Shadow Recruit and will be watching that one as well! (Also we’ll definitely be talking about that motorcade ambush.) Thanks for listening/watching!
Finally been trying to find someone who’s done this one shot. Great stuff by the way
Thanks! It’s a great adventure, in a book full of them for sure!
Thank you for sharing this interesting game.
I used to love listening to the soundtrack to Moulin Rouge. Eventually, I got kind of disillusioned with the whole "Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love" thing.
Sorry, I don't get a chance to watch these often, and I know I probably have said this already, but I like watching them and the effort you all put into these games.
Thanks! I really appreciate it. :)
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS CHRISTIANA
I really like how you present information. I’m officially a fan of your channel.
Sorry I don't get a chance to watch all of these. Even though i don't fully understand D&D I do find it interesting.
Found this as our group of mostly lapsed podcasters is starting up a session. Thanks for this!
"Boring on purpose" also describes Gus Van Sant's "Gerry," so I think I'll pass.
For the record, I liked Gerry also. lol
@@ChristianaEllis To each their own. I mean, who am I to judge, I'm one of the 8 people who liked Southland Tales. ;)
Any ideas why I can't download the podcast of these anymore?
The Podcast feed was getting too long, so a bunch of episodes were put in the archive page, but those links aren't working at the moment, it seems. I'll check into it.
Okay, the thing I'd been using for links failed me. The files are still online, but I'm going to need to go back through to fix the archive links manually apparently. Will work on that, but it may be time-consuming. Let me know which ones you're ready for and I'll do those first! :)
In the process of updating all those links, you can find them here: christianaellis.com/so-many-levels-podcast-archive/
@@ChristianaEllis Ok thanks. I was enjoying the podcast, I mostly listen at work then the link to episode 39 wouldn't work it's been a few weeks.
Really great video! While there are a few edited ironsworn podcasts, there aren't many actual live playthrus, love this, really helped me getting started for my own game.
I need to rewatch the Robocop movies.
You’re fine with only rewatching the first one, in my opinion. 2 was done by different people. But up to you. :)
@@ChristianaEllis I don't really remember much about the second one except the scene with the little league team and thinking it was pretty dark even for a Robocop movie.

This is a great video, great introduction and instruction in the system and great DMing/Playing!
I'm sorry I missed this. Really like the Muppets
Really awesome that you guys are still going. I remember watching several episodes way back when and chatting with Starla while she was playing. Very cool lady
I feel your pain on the final encounter. I thought about making the Druid a lot of a higher level, or making the undead creature jump out at the start of the combat. Or using the manipulation powder on the players first round. Or giving her allies with the powder or something.
How would you re design the encounter if you had a second crack at it, as you said?
Sometimes it does just come down to dice, but in this case, I think more poisoned guards would have helped. The intent seems to be a sort of three-phase encounter: 1) Dealing with the poisoned victims, 2) Dealing with the druid, 3) Dealing with the spirit, but as things played out for our group, the guards were dealt with almost immediately. Perhaps having more of them, even if, for example, each one were weaker. The encounter ended up feeling a bit easy because it got reduced down to Party Vs. 1 enemy in basically one round. But of course, on another day, the dice may have made it seem unwinnable. Also a different party composition may have had fewer abilities to incapacitate the guards without killing them, which could have made that more challenging.
One way to make it more challenging definitely could have been having the party start by having to fight the guards while the druid throws down the poison doses from the rooftop, but I usually hesitate to do too much stuff that takes agency away from the PCs. Every once in a while, sure. Maybe if the encounter starts with a cloud of it still in the air that would wear off after one round, while the guards got the full dose?
Okay, I gotta say this. I like these videos because they are interesting as i'm still too nervous to get into the whole Dand D thing, but....I miss your "other" content. But with that said, I hope you are doing okay. I'm sorry if you aren't.
Any talk about doing a podcast with the former group for the GOT prequel?
Sorry, I haven't kept up more as of late, but Radiant Citadel sounds interesting, though way above my knowledge of those types of games.
Maggie Mae Fish did a great video about Stalker comparing it with, of all things, the Loki series on Disney+.
These are two movies I have never seen, so maybe it's time.
I'm sorry you fell, but glad you didn't hurt yourself worse than that.
The image in your head for Blade's ending sounds like it came from the unfinished alternate ending that's on the DVD (unfinished meaning that the CG wasn't 100% completed). The reason they dropped it is because it just wasn't turning out like they'd hoped so they gave up and had to settle for what was in the theatrical version.
Good call! I looked it up and you are 100% right. I must have seen it when I rented it on DVD or something, years ago. Ambivalent about it, because obviously the CGI is unfinished and it may have been that they just couldn't get it where they wanted, but the theatrical version is pretty underwhelming by comparison.
I don't think it was ever officially confirmed, but it looks like the only reason Cocktail won Worst Movie at the Razzies that year was because Rain Man was considered a shoe-in for Best Picture at the Oscars, and that literally any of the other movies nominated for Worst was more deserving. I mean, are we really supposed to buy the idea that Cocktail, while not a good movie, is somehow worse than Caddyshack 2? C'mon.
Didn't even realize Cocktail got the Razzie! Agree that it's not good, but also probably not the worst. I generally dislike the concept of the Razzies anyway.
@@ChristianaEllis There's a RUclips channel called Cinematic Excrement, and the host has been going though all the Razzie winners for Worst Picture year by year and asking if they really deserved it. Sometimes the answer is yes, but a lot of the other times it either should've been one of the other nominees, or a movie that somehow didn't get nominated at all. The Razzies are really no less political than the Oscars are. I can think of maybe two times where they took a bold stance and awarded Worst Picture to a movie that actually spread a harmful message as opposed to just a failed comedy or underperforming blockbuster.
That seems like a good plan going forward. For the record, you have done so much more than the SpoonyOne has done in eight years and he somehow manages to get a few hundred dollars a month in patreon, which makes no sense whatsoever.
